Why this Site Name?

Q: Why “thefirstmove” as the blog address?

A: Back in NS, I once started with disheartened.blogspot.com when I was in the Airforce School. Everyday back then was stuck in camp mugging aerospace info and training on simulators. That’s when i thought that such a emo blog address will appeal to myself. But as I grew older, i realised that i had a lot of missed chances in life, all because i was too hum to take the first move: to go up to people to get to know them, to take the initiative to make changes in life, to take the first step to maintain a relationship that had slowly fading. Hence the “thefirstmove” is to ask who ever out there to seize the opportunities of the day and go out and make the first move before you start to live to regret your hesitation.

Q: Why the theme “Women and Men in bed have different Thoughts”?

A: I was inspired on this when i was listening to a story on radio the other day. The story goes like this:

A couple was in their bedroom, and they had just lain on their bed. Both kept the silence and stared blankly at the ceiling of their bedroom. Despite sharing the same bed and daily experiences together, different thoughts went through the woman’s and the man’s mind.

Woman: “Why isn’t he talking to me? He doesn’t love me anymore?”

Man: “Why isn’t she having any response? Is she too tired to make love to me tonight?”

Men and women operate very differently. Understanding the opposite sex and their needs is a lifelong skill that some people fail to even achieve in their entire lifetime.

Therefore our misconceptions about the opposite sex has made the world around us so twisted and lives so much in pain. I’m here to help those who are in need of understanding the opposite sex, though i still can’t call myself a master yet. We just need to pool our experiences and make the world a better place for you and me.
