I’m have a UNUSUAL taste for women…

•February 17, 2008 • Leave a Comment

I must admit, i have definitely a seriously unusual taste for the type of women. I didn’t realize how unusual it was until this weekend when i had super lots of revelations about what i truly like about women. It seems that my parents, especially my mother, don’t like the gals that i have a liking for.

I like independent girls with strong characters. Being independent for me, in my rule book means being able to pay your own bills and can handle herself well in a situation. I mean i truly prefer girls who have prior working experience and seen shit being thrown at their faces by their customers. I utterly dislike girls who stick to you like bees to honey, and suck your money dry like a leech. I’m speaking from experience, and my share of fair-weathered female friends.

The down-side of such strong-charactered girls is that they tend to have bad tempers and when they blow up, even big boys like me will cry at their mercy. Some of them can turn violent. I’d cried for all my girlfriends in the past. Because of this, my mum always thought that these girls bullied me and caused me a lot of grief and trouble. She condemned them like shit and disapproved of them, but at least at the end of the day, she respected my decision.

Haiz~ I know I’m not the best boyfriend a girl can every have, coz i know i can be damn slack, bo chap and distracted at times. Henceforth in a way, i need girls who have strong characters to scold me to wake up my idea. I know it’s a bitter medicine to take, but it’s good for my soul and life. I can’t have a indecisive 小女人 that doesn’t value add to my life. At least from all the other strong character women who made me cry, i learned a lot from them. Now I’m less slack with a lot more balls to talk to strangers and make my stand. I’d changed over these years, into a better man, with realistic dreams and direction in life.

I know strong-charactered women can make me puke blood and shorten my life. My close friends and family may never understand, but i know i’ll never regret my choice of women. What i have to offer to these type of women is my patience, endurance to take any kind of shit they throw at me and my calming, peace-loving personality. I’ll still pursue girls of such characters if fate permits:

For I’m a better man, after knowing them…

Apologize – One Republic

•February 17, 2008 • Leave a Comment

This is one of the songs that i heard from timbre’s Goodfellas. Before going there, i also heard this song on Channel Newsasia’s Morning show. One Republic is a new soft rock band and their album is produced by the famous Timberland, thus their quality of their album is guaranteed. If you like their singles hit, check out their album!

I really love this song, coz it’s different from Cascada’s dance songs that i’d been listening for the whole week.

Timbre

•February 17, 2008 • Leave a Comment

I’d always heard of Timbre being a good place to chill out in the presence of good live bands, but until last night, i’d yet to find time to go there and immerse myself in the music and alcohol. Yesterday, CS was feeling rather down, so the rest of the Shuda gang (Weiyong, Wang Lei and me) decided that we should get him out for drinks to perk him up. Weiyong suggested Timbre, which turned out to be a quite a good place to chill out in town.

We ordered pizzas and fries. Weiyong ordered his mocktail, cos he was our chauffeur. Lei ordered some martini; CS had his LONG ISLAND TEA ( seriously think that he wanted to get drunk), while i got myself their in-house cocktail: EIC Gin Rumma (the name was so long i can’t remember). The pizza was great, cos it was cooked the authentic Italian way. I heard they had Pizza and Pasta Buffet on Sundays. Will check it out if chance permits.

Value: 4/5 (You pay what u get. Plus they don’t hound u when u run out of drinks.)

Music: 3.5/5 (Goodfellas are good, but not fantastic. I heard EIC on Wed is better…)

Overall: 3.5/5 (I love live bands, so i’ll be back! But i’ll be there for EIC and i’ll be wearing long pants!)

In order for the pharmacy students to improve their patient counseling on condoms, the Pharmaceutical Society (NUS) gave us Okamoto’s 0.03 Platinum Condoms for us to try out personally during Valentines Day. It is often through personal experience of using the product that we can better offer our recommendations and advice on the proper usage of the product. Am i right, my friends?

Below are the unpaid ambassadors of Okamoto’s 0.03 Platinum Condoms:

I’m not endorsing the product until i tried it out!

On 13th February 2008, Alvin organized a lau hue (捞鱼)Chinese New Year dinner for the Pharmacy guys at some coffee shop at Clementi. Most of the guys turned up, unless they had their own commitments. Hopefully our 捞鱼 will bring us more luck in the coming semester ahead, and bring us good fortune at the gambling tables and bridge sessions! lol! By the way, the 捞鱼 was damn hilarious, with Zhiwei saying “不用读书也可以拿A” and Yuantai’s “早生贵子”, almost every crap that can we can imagine also came out during that session.

The Two Brains of Men and Women

•February 14, 2008 • Leave a Comment

Happy Valentines Day everyone!

If you are thinking that i’m gonna write on the right and the left brain, you are definitely wrong! Actually the Two Brains of Men and Women can be categorized by the upper brain and the lower brain… (aka upstairs and downstairs). The first brain is without a doubt the one that resides in our skull, but it’s the second brain that makes all the difference between the sexes.

The Two Brains of Women

This is quite easy to guess. It’s the Women’s HEART!

Although most of the women go gaga over good looking and suave men, but for them to go the extra mile or make sacrifices for the special someone, they need to feel the love. That’s why sometimes no matter how screwed-up the personalities of their partners are or how obnoxious their boyfriends may be, many women simply won’t and maybe can’t walk away from a relationship. Unlike men, they rarely elope with another man because of his looks, but instead, she’ll run away whoever takes hostage of her HEART. Henceforth, when a woman says “I Love You”, 99% of the time she’s saying it from her true feelings and HAS NO HIDDEN AGENDA. So if you wanna get hitched, GO conquer her HEART first.

The Two Brains of MEN

Why does my boy friend stare at other beautiful women on the streets; am i not attractive enough for him?
Why is there an industry for pornography for male and a very small one for women?
Why does my boyfriend prefer to get physically involved with me, rather than connecting to me emotionally?
If you have such doubts, then you haven’t truly understood the nature of MEN. The second brain of Men is definitely the Penis.

It is often said that men think about sex every 3 seconds. So why ain’t men running around all over the place and humping people? It’s because it’s the upper brain in the skull that’s taking control with our teachings of morality and ethics. However their “little brother” downstairs can sometimes be too overwhelming, and that’s when the men start go get physical and horny. Just like the women’s PMS, the men also undergo “horny” periods, it’s just down to how well is their self control and discipline. That is also the reason why there are countless rape and molest cases of women and so few cases of men. If fact, some men may even be hoping for such a thing to happen to them.

It is evident the extend of control the “little brothers” has over their host, which is seen from the cases of Catholic priests molesting young children, despite claiming being chaste and full of morals. Since it’s almost impossible to purge out the horniness from a man (even if he’s a monk, he’s just trying his best to control…), live with it.

But of course, if you don’t like your men to be always trying to get physical with you, just sounds out. He’ll try to use his upper brain to control his “little brother”.

If it fails to work, just give him a tight slap on the face. (works 75% of the time, as it usually kick start his brain to take over.)

If all methods fail, go for the holy grail. KICK his GROIN. This will cause a system shutdown in all aspects. :>

The Reason I shaved my head BOTAK~!

•February 12, 2008 • 1 Comment

WTF! If you all wonder why i took so long to write another post on my blog~ it’s because I tried to write 1 entry over the weekend abt places to go over valentines day, but it seems like i can’t impart my knowledge to those who are fighting fire out there. All thanks to wordpress which crashed out on me when i was about to post my entry. I also wondered why my auto saving din kick in after all i really wrote a lot on that blog post. It’s like about 45 mins of essay gone down the drain. Nvm, it’s now water under the bridge anyway.

For the one-millionth time, here’s my REASON for shaving my head botak. (Although there are many versions…) lol.

Version 1.1: I got testicular cancer, so i went for chemo and my hair started to drop… (OMG some did believe this bullcrap for a sec. lol)

Version 1.2: I’d suffered a major setback in life and i’ve decided to join the monkhood when i was travelling in China. 我的发号是“永乐”,意识是永远快乐。(P.S. if you are observant, you’lll realise that i’m missing out on the six white dots on my head.)

Version 1.3: I went to China and it was freezing cold there, then when i came back, i could not acclimatise with the hot weather conditions in Sillypore, so i decided to cut my hair to cool down my head.

———————————————————————————————————————————–

Version 2.0:

All the “Version 1″ reasons were really out to smoke you all, cos there are few people out there who truly can take my real reason for cutting my hair this way.

As the same reason i started to write this blog, I wanted to 重生, aka to be reborn. 1/3 of my life has almost spent and i wanted to try out things i always wanted to do, things that i wanna see.

The real reason: I wanna see if i’m still attractive and well-received by my friends and family even when i looked like shit, and to experience first-hand, whether gals are superficial as they claim they aren’t. Amazingly, i’ve gotten rather mixed results, but in general, my impression is LOOKS are impt, no matter how much people claim they dun care, cos first impressions do play a huge part in knowing people and making friends.

Another reason is i wanna try out new stuff, and shaving botak is the first on my list. You only live once, live it to your max, so that you’ll never turn back and start to regret what you’ve not done.

I’ve more surprises to come~ So watch out!

Chillout @ New Asia Bar

Margarita New Asia Bar Frozen MargaritaS
New Asia Bar

God damn it! I always thought blogging was suppose to help to de-stress and help to express myself. But today after trying to make my first entry on places to go, the website had to screw me up! There was some error when u submitted my post, which i painstaking took like 45 mins to complete. Haiz~! ok, I shan’t get angry over this ordeal during CNY. Haiz.

Ok, i shall now write in an accelerated pace, since i think i’ve written this entry before. On the first of Feb, Youyi, Victor and me decided to conquer what we failed to do in our previous attempts, to enter New Asia Bar on the 71 and 72 level of Swissotel the Stamford, when we were crudely refused at the door by the DOOR BITCH! Haiz! The last attempt before this, i was only like 2 weeks before my 23rd birthday! It’s not as if i dun have money to pay for the drinks. The age limit of 23 is one of the highest around, maybe other than Balaclava Bar which has a age limit of 25.

My advice: If you wanna go check out New Asia Bar, try not to do it over Friday or Saturday nights, where they have a cover charge of $25 after 9pm i think. A bit steep for the price of entry plus only 1 drink. At least it was worth it to break my duck. If you are interested in chilling out, i won’t suggest you try on Friday and Saturday night, but on other nights there won’t be a cover charge, so it won’t be so pricy.

Jevin's Blue MargaritaJevin Enjoying his drink!Lime, Mango, Carucao MargaritaS!

Me Enjoying my Blue Margarita!

We ordered 3 Frozen Margaritas: Youyi had lime(white in right pic), Victor had Mango (0range in right pic) , while i had my Curacao Margarita(it’s Blue!). I think mine is that name, but if i’m wrong pls help to correct me. The drinks ain’t fantastic, with so much ice and syrup and little alcohol. Despite that, it’s really a good place to hang out with friends, after all, it’s the highest place you can club or chill out in Singapore!

I’m gonna bring my next date here if she loves to chill out and hang out at night spots!

Personal Ratings:

Ambience: 5/5 (Chilling out with such a great view! Can’t get any better!)

Drinks: 2/5 (Watered down alcohols at $25 a piece is rather steep. :<)

Value: 3/5 (Go only other than Fri or Sat, they may have 1 for 1 too!)

Crowd: 4/5 (International tourists, great place for SPGs, but guys, it’s hard to hook up gals here. :<)

Overall: 4/5 (Recommended by me, juz don’t go on fri or sat nights)

Super Shagged Saturday n Sunday

•February 6, 2008 • Leave a Comment

For those people who missed on my blogging post, if there’s any fans out there, i must apologize coz i was down really shagged out from my weekend of activities and subsequently catching up with the spring cleaning that i owed my mother. It’s better to start CNY in a clean house and start afresh right? Lol!

Anyway, for my Super Shagged weekend, its started with chilling out with my secondary 4 classmates at New Asia Bar @ Swissotel after a long day at school (from 9am-6pm). Then subsequently, i had to stay in front of my computer to bid for my project group. At night i had to join Wang Lei, Wei yong, Zhong Hong to compete in Cycledelic, organized by NUS Arts faculty. The event started from 10pm and ended at 8am. By the time i reached home, it was already 9am plus.

I slept till afternoon, when i got a call from my friend who wants to drive around Singapore for good food and asked me to help navigate. After driving non-stop around Singapore in 5hrs, travelling from Jurong East to Upper Thomson, then to Changi Village, then to Woodlands, then to Jalan Boon Lay, it was damn shagged to be in full concentration to be the navigator, who tries to give the right instructions at the right time.

Haiz~ The weekend left me with only about 10 hours of sleep, making me more exhausted than i started. And I thought weekend was suppose to rejuvenate the mind and body. Ok, i’ll put details and photos on my activities on my future posts!

Happy Chinese New Year!
